Friends of American Heroes is an organization whose goal is to honor American military wounded heroes and their families by assisting them with necessary expenses such as food, lodging, travel, and equipment that is needed to participate in a growing number of outdoor recreational opportunities.
Our heroes' mental and physical struggles do not end once they leave the hospital or rehabilitation center—they face a lifelong uphill battle. There are currently more than 2.8 million disabled veterans in America and more than 30,000 wounded from combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Therefore, to uplift and encourage these wounded heroes as they persevere in life, Friends of American Heroes will provide enriching outdoor recreational opportunities to them.
Friends of American Heroes, through various forms of support, will work side-by-side with other veteran organizations as well that support our military heroes and their families while promoting family values, friendship, fellowship, and love of country.
